2021 has begun and while we are not out of the woods, there don’t seem to be any unexpected after effects of the pandemic coming our way. At least none that would cause all physical events to be postponed or cancelled yet another year. So far so good! As we take on the new year one careful step at a time, digital signage events which were cancelled last year are looking to make a comeback!
In this article we’ve included some of the bigger events in the digital signage world that will most probably take place this year. Still, while it’s unlikely there will be any trouble with them, we’ll stay on guard and do our best to inform you should any of these events be postponed or cancelled.
Integrated Systems Europe 2021
ISE, the world’s largest professional AV and systems integration show, is planned for 1-4th June, 2021. This event showcases a variety of events focusing on new products and tech in the industry. It comes with conferences and workshops which are all ideal for developing new and existing relationships within the industry. For the first time, ISE will also have a digital offering, enabling remote participation from anywhere around the world.
A half-day conference produced by Integrated Systems Events, Digital Signage Summit ISE 2021 will take place on June 2nd, at the Fira de Barcelona. It will be a part of the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE). 2021 marks the year ISE moves to Barcelona as its new home. It should provide enough space to meet exhibitor demand and ensure the event goes down smoothly while meeting all pandemic-related requirements.
If you’re looking to attend, book your tickets as soon as possible. Keep an eye for the early bird ticket discount.
Virtual OAAA/Geopath OOH Media Conference
The annual OAAA/Geopath OOH Media Conference will take place on April 13-15, 2021. The conference had originally been scheduled to take place in Nashville, Tennessee, last year. Unsurprisingly, it has gone virtual this year. Given that it’s going to be a virtual event, it’s unlikely to be disrupted due to the pandemic.Â
This summit will be a place where industry executives and analysts gather to discuss the changing marketplace and its impact on the people in the industry. Registration hasn’t opened yet but is expected to in early 2021.
D=SIGN 2021
Given the success of D=SIGN in December of 2020, it only stands to reason that it should return in 2021. However, we won’t have to wait until December to see it again. Born in 2020, D=SIGN brings us solutions, innovations, and big ideas flowing through the digital signage and digital OOH worlds. This event emerged as the ideal replacement for the Digital Signage Expo which we lost last year.
AVIXA and DSF plan to bring an in-person version of D=SIGN to InfoComm 2021, in Orlando, Florida. InfoComm is the largest pro AV trade show in North America. Each year, it showcases thousands of products for audio, communications, video, and digital signage, among others. The InfoComm conference will take place on June 12-18th with exhibits on June 16-18th.
While we’re on the topic of InfoComm, they will provide special opportunities for DSE 2020 exhibitors who lost their deposits and payments. In case this sounds like something you could benefit from, head over to the InfoComm website and reach out!
The Digital Signage Event
Scheduled for March 4th, 2021, The Digital Signage Event will be a single day virtual experience. It will bring together industry experts to educate and connect together. The event will also highlight the latest digital signage technologies through a virtual exhibit hall. Attendees will have an opportunity to build new connections and start conversations. They will also have the opportunity to schedule meetings with digital signage manufacturers, suppliers, and partners.
The World OOH annual Congress
The World Out of Home Organization annual Congress is scheduled for June, 2021, at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. The Organization works globally to promote and improve the OOH industry on behalf of its members. The list of members includes JCDecaux and the OAAA and many more of course.
Much like many other digital signage related events, it faced a cancellation 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Those who booked for the 2020 event will be able to rollover their bookings to 2021.
These are some of the largest events in the industry and at this time they are likely to take place. As we move forward and observe the growing pandemic with care, we shall see if there will be any major changes for the mentioned events. We are still waiting to see more data on events scheduled to take place later in the year. For instance, the European Sign Expo has been pushed from March to October 2021. The upcoming months will give us a clearer view on what the rest of the year will be like for trade shows and exhibitions.
In case there is any major impact or change related to the pandemic that might affect the events in the OOH world, we’ll be sure to keep you updated!
