Media RSS
RSS is the most common text feed used to create and display news tickers on screens. OnSign TV has always supported that and now it also supports Media RSS Widgets, an open standard for distribution of media content that includes images, videos and animations. There are many digital signage media providers on the internet, such as Screenfeed, that offer ready-made relevant content on a wide range of topics.
Now you’re able to make use of all of them at OnSign TV. Note that if you’re syndicating videos through Media RSS, OnSign TV will reproduce the whole video. But if you’re adding any Media RSS with an image sequence, you can set the duration you want each image to be displayed. RSS News Scroller
Besides that, we’ve added an RSS News Scroller Widget that allows you to scroll headlines or minor pieces of news horizontally across the screen through an RSS feed. You’ll notice that when you add this kind of widget to your campaigns, you’ll be given the option to customize it with one of our 5 color schemes available.
